Unlike Oracle's SQL Plus, that serves as the standard interface to any Oracle Database, where the user has to make use of the PL/SQL language and has to type in statements to obtain information regarding the database objects and which requires that the user has prior knowledge of PL/SQL.
SQL * Navigator provides a user-friendly environment to Navigate the Database and can be used by any novice user to find the information of an object in the database. It visualizes the Oracle database and can be used to extract structural information of the database objects. It provides options for the Creating, Browsing and Altering of Objects in the database. The user can select the type of object from the list provided in the interface and extract the list of objects from the database or can also use the name of the object to find that particular object in the database. Structure and Records of the selected object are displayed and advanced information such as the dependent objects like Index, Constraints for a table are also displayed. For Stored Procedures the tool extracts the PL/SQL code and displays it.

This information system focused on converting a Fox BASE Database into an Oracle database through the use of SQL * Loader and import Utilities. Apart from this it provides verification of the data, developed As user interface using SQL*Forms 3.0. It deals with the following functionalities.
Frame Information module deals with the information about the small Scale industries in Tamil Nadu. Product Information module deals with the frame product information. District information module deals with the district wise industries and product wise information. Block information module is a Sub Module of the district module. The district can be divided into so many modules, which are included in this module. Product code information is an sub module of the product information code which will give information about each and every product that are classified and code will be given by NIC.
This product makes use of security reliability of RDBMS and provides a friendly Environment to the users. This product is developed using Oracle SQL*Loader. This product is running under SCO UNIX.
